TOMS

TOMS is an integrated Technical Operational and Maintenance System designed for utility companies. It serves the purposes of the technical departments, provides information for the top and middle corporate management and, of course, for the executive staff of the development, construction, maintenance and operation departments.

TOMS provides users with unique strategic advantage in the area of supporting the processes of management and control of a distribution network.

TOMS has been developed based on detailed analyses and experience in several electric power, gas, water, and heat distribution companies.

TOMS ensures interconnection with the other systems for managing the company. The integration is implemented via an interface to the standard ERP, GIS, CRM and EAM products (by SAP, ORACLE, GE Energy etc.).

The implementation of TOMS is accompanied with an efficient re-organization. Thus, TOMS continuously brings down costs for development, construction and maintenance, reduces the waiting time for repairs and outage duration, minimizes losses caused by termination of power supply, and gives possibilities to optimize corporate resources and reserves.

SAP Integration

The integration technology of TOMS has been certified for SAP NetWeaver. The SAP PM module, for example, receives information on tasks or expenses. Bills of quantity or other SAP information can be imported.

Smallworld GIS Integration

As the author of the Smallworld GIS standard data models "NRM", Mettenmeier provides for seamless integration of GIS data and functions. Thus, all graphical data, object data and operational data is available in TOMS. Moreover, TOMS allows for editing, updating and re-importing GIS object data. The core processes are best supported regarding the graphical and topological attributes, e. g. for planning purposes, network analyses or incident management. The data exchange between TOMS and Smallworld GIS is pre-configured and standardised.
